Hello!!
You and I both know the art of juggling multiple roles and responsibilities.
But let's be real: the end-of-school season combined with the pressure to wrap up Q2 strong can be enough to make even the most superhero-like among us feel stretched thin.
Between teacher gifts, summer planning, camp prep, and all things work, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and like there's just not enough time in the day.
This week I'll share a few prompts to help you navigate this chaotic time more efficiently and thoughtfully.
Conquering the End-of-School Season
Beyond mere to-do lists, these 3 prompts are your pathway to be intentional with your child's teacher, their summer plans, and your own professional journey.
1. End-of-Year Teacher Appreciation
Help me create a thoughtful, personalized thank you gift and note for my child's teacher. I want to:
- Highlight 2-3 specific ways this teacher has impacted my child this year - Generate a gift idea that feels genuine and not generic
- Craft a note that captures my appreciation authentically
2. Summer Camp Prep
Please generate a list of essential questions I need to ask and information I need to gather to feel fully prepared for my child's upcoming day camp experience.
3. Q2 Professional Reflection
Guide me through a series of reflective questions to review my biggest professional and personal wins and learnings from this past quarter.
Pro Tip: The magic is in the details. The more specific context you provide, the more personalized the AI's suggestions will be.
AI in Education: The Questions That Matter
This week, I shared a post on LinkedIn about the new federal executive order requiring AI to be integrated into K–12 education. It's a bold move that raises real concerns and real opportunities for parents.
I wanted to share a little more with you, my email community, because this affects all of us.
As this shift unfolds, one of the most powerful things you can do is ask better questions during school meetings.
Here are four to start with:
- What AI tools, if any, are being introduced in the classroom? (Bonus: Ask how teachers are being trained to use them.)
- How is my child's data being stored, used, or shared when interacting with AI tools?
- What guidelines are in place to ensure accuracy and transparency with AI-generated content?
- What's the balance between tech-driven instruction and human-led learning in your classroom?
You don't need to have all the answers.
But asking the right questions helps you stay informed and shape the conversation early.
I'll be digging deeper into this in future newsletters and inside Mother AI programming.
For now, just know: this isn't hypothetical. It's happening. And you have more power than you think.
