Now that school has begun, so have the numerous activities and school events (hello Back to School Night). So this week I’m focused on another time-saving trick up our sleeve…the family calendar.
My life mantra: If it isn't on the calendar, it doesn't exist.
Dramatic? Maybe.
But as a mom of three juggling work, family, and everything in between, I've learned that my brain just can't keep up with the firehose of information coming my way.
The calendar has become my lifeline for keeping track of after school activities, birthdays, to-dos, and activities across all aspects of life.
So, how do you ensure you know what’s happening when and where? There are two parts to addressing the family calendar crisis process:
Here's how I've turned my family into calendar afficionados:
- My husband and I both have full access to the family calendar on our phones.
- My mom (our superhero grandma) is in on the action too.
- Even the kids are part of this calendar crew!
Yes, you read that right.
My kids, even the youngest, know how to access and add events to the family calendar.
Be prepared for some, um, creative additions (impromptu Target runs or Sky Zone trips, anyone?), but hey, I'll take the engagement!
